If you would like a copy of the New Ep, please go Here. If you would like to see us live, please go Here. Thanks. James. 01.10.08 Hello and Happy New Year. Hello everyone, we hope your holidays treated you well. Over the last few months we have started playing with a few new people (Mike and MorganEve are their names) and started recording a new EP. The EP will be out in late February, with a CD Release hopefully in early March. We also have a whole bunch of shows lined up in the coming months including a tour with our dear friends The Wading Girl. Please check out our Shows Page for dates. Thanks. James Toomey 10.14.07 Sorry/Tour Sorry about the lack of updates. This summer was on the sad side since our long term bass player/friend, James Merida decided to leave the band this August. We had a great time hanging out and playing music with him for the pass 4 years. We will miss him alot and wish him the best. On that note, Anthony and I have decided to take his Jeep Cherokee out on a 10 day tour this November. We will be hitting the same old haunts from here to Wisconsin and if you've got the time please come out and say hello. We might have a limited edition tour ep available for this tour which will have demos of some new songs on it along with rewrites of some old songs. Then again we might not, but hopefully we can get our shit together in time. Thanks for checking, we hope to see you soon. James Toomey. 05.19.07 National Tour We will be heading out on tour next week to circle the country. We will be hitting a few old spots on this tour but mostly new ones. If you know of anyone in any of the cities, tell them to come, we would apprecitate it. For a list of tour dates, go to our shows page. Also, this will be the first tour with our new van, a 2002 15 Passenger Ford 350. It's pretty cool but also bittersweet because alot of shows were played, friends were made and times were had in our old van and we will miss him. Thanks for checking in, we hope to see you on tour. (jt) 03.26.07 Distro and Stuff First off we would like to thank everyone that has already picked up a copy of Werner Ghost Truck, the response to the new record has been great. There are a few reviews of it up on our Press page if you are interested in what other people think of it. Also the record is now distributed through Revolver which means it is available most everywhere. (if a record store doesn't have it they can order it) For all you mp3 fans, you can pick up the record on most download sites such as eMusic, Rhapsody and iTunes We would like to thank everyone that came out to see us on tour a few weeks ago. As always it is really fun to hit those towns. We have a few shows lined up over the next couple of weeks and are working on a west coast tour for May/June. Thanks for checking in, James Toomey 01.18.07 Werner Ghost Truck Pre-Order The pre-order for our new record has begun! A label out of Seattle called Tarnished Records is gracious enough to put it out for us and artists Nyree Watts (Mark Kozelek, the Innocence Mission) and Jason Fiske (Marc Ecko Enterprises, The Red Chord) were nice enough to contribute to the artwork. It really looks great and we are extremely happy to put this record out into the world. The record release party will be on January 27th in Providence, followed by a few months of touring around the country. We will post more infomation on these things as they come. Thank you to everyone for their patience, we truely appreciate it. -James Toomey 11.01.06 Our van didn't die! We are home from our eastcoast tour and things went well, eventhough it was alot colder than any of us thought is was going to be. The shows were good. We had alot of fun and I thought we played really well on this tour. Thank you to everyone that came out and a double thank you if you happened to buy any of our merch. Other than the music, this is how the tour went. Anthony got sick from food poisoning and slept under a beer pong table, but not in that order. Merida read a book by Charles Mingus and maybe had a little too much fun in Ohio. Kate slept and read a book about Napoleon. I watched alot of Seinfeld, drove a healthy amount of our 4300+ mile journey and enjoyed all the various animals I saw. Thank you to Steve, Jason, Doug, Steve & Deke, Matt & Marybeth, Paul, Steve & Carolyn, Motel 6 and Jen for putting us up on this tour. Talk to you soon, James Toomey 09.14.06 Lyrics & Tour Lyrics for our Choir Practice EP are available now by going to our Music Page and clicking on the link found below the picture of the release. Also new dates are up for a tour we will be going on this October. You can view them here. Thanks. James. 07.29.06 Summer Sale!!! There will be a sale on all our merchandise for the month of August. Plus I've added a Summer Sale Package, which includes a copy of "Choir Practice", a T-Shirt and a Summer 2006 Tour Poster. All of this for only $20!!! Go to our Merch Page to purchase. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We will be playing a few more shows before the season is over and we have plans to tour the the right half of the country this fall. Thanks, James 07.10.06 Compilation CD A compilation CD is being released this Saturday, July 15th to benefit the Providence Animal Rescue League and our song "The Final Day Of Our Better Days" has been included on it. (This song is not yet released and is due to come out on our new full length "Werner Ghost Truck".) The compilation is a huge double disc with 30 other Rhode Island bands and available through 75 or Less Records. Also a couple more shows have been added to the site, including ones opening for Richard Buckner and also The Drams. thx...jmt 06.27.06 Home We are back from our lastest tour down the east coast. Our tour van has a bad transmission but we were able to make it back home without any problems. Pictures from the tour are up on our photos page. If you go there you will be able to see us at FOAMHENGE, which is a full size replica of STONEHENGE but instead of rock it is made out of foam. There are also pictures of us going to Texas Tavern in Roanoke, Turner Field in Atlanta to see the Red Sox play the Braves and us at Folly Beach in Charleston, SC. This tour was really alot of fun as you will see. The shows were great, too. I thought we played really well on this tour and people seemed to like it. This was the 2nd tour we did in support of our new EP, which has been received quite well. If you haven't picked up a copy of it for yourself, you can do so by going to our merch page. I also through a screened poster I made for this tour up on the page for purchase. Thanks Chris, Doug, Jen, Kahle, Kevin, and Paul for giving us a floor to sleep on. We will be doing a few festivals in Providence this July and a little weekend tour up to Vermont and New York State. I really like these tours because we usually camp out and the shows are more acoustic and stripped down. We do have a full set electric rock'n roll show at the end of the month at AS220. Go to our shows page for complete listings. Thank you kindly, James Toomey 04.12.06 We're the Best! Barn Burning has been nominated once again for "Best Roots Act" in Providence. Anybody can vote for us by going here. Word is Bond. JMT 03.23.06 Shirts Are UP!!! After such a long time of promising you shirts through our website, we are finally coming through for you. They are now up on our Merch Page and you could also pick up our new EP while your there too. Thanks again, James Toomey 03.13.06 Virginia takes the prize!!! We are back from our short tour down the eastcoast and things went great. We got home safe and even with a few dollars in our pocket. Virgina was great. We would like to thank The Wading Girl in Roanoke and Wrinkle Neck Mules in Norfolk for helping us out with those shows. The highlight of the tour (in my opinion) was when our friend Doug tooks us to eat at Texas Tavern, which is a 24 hour Hamburger/Hot Dog joint in downtown Roanoke. It only has 10 seats and is full of entertainment. I love those kinds of places and I am proud to say that we are now lifetime members of the "Roanoke's Millionares Club". Thanks to everyone that was at the shows and a very special thank you to Chris, Jimmy, Doug, Todd, Jen and Nick for letting us sleep in their homes. Also thanks to Kenny Roby for playing a couple shows with us in NC and being so generous. One final thing. We have a new violin player. Her name is Kate and she played with us on this last tour and also on the new CDEP. She's wicked cool and we are really happy to be playing music with her. Thanks, James Toomey 03.01.06 New EP for Sale!!! Our new CDEP is done and for sale!!! Go to our Merch Page to purchase. See below for details and if you have any questions, please ask. J. Toomey 02.14.06 We love you. Yes we do!!! Sorry it has been so long, I don't want you to think we have been slacking. This weak we are finishing up recording an EP for are forthcoming tour. It is going to be called "Choir Practice" and will be a limited release of 100 copies with hand-made covers. The covers are pretty arts & craftsy and are made from felt and feathers. Also since I'm such a vinyl nerd the covers will come in different colors and all will be numbered. They will be available at shows and through our merch page. Plus we have some new shirts! I printed them one brisk afternoon while visiting my family in Massachusetts. It was pretty fun doing this. They helped with all shirts and my Mom made chicken for dinner, which was delicious. That's about it for now. I hope to see you at a show on tour or at a coffeeshop at home. Thanks, James Toomey
Our new record is finished!!! Currently we are in the process of sending it out to labels and working on artwork. In the meantime I've posted 2 new songs on MySpace. (Keep checking back because I will continue to put up new songs periodically.) Thanks, JT/Bb
Hello everyone and welcome to our new website. It was designed by our friend Phil over at Advaria and he did a wonderful job. Feel free to have a look around. There are new pictures in the photo section and soon we will have t-shirts and posters for sale in our new merch section. Our new record, which we have titled "Werner Ghost Truck", is very close to being finished and we will post a new song or two in the music section once they are ready. Thanks.
